What is the difference in price 996 Cup vs 997 Cup ducts? And I take it that the 997 Cup ducts also fit the 996 TT's?

and for the rear brake ducts, they have the 996 version in stock which they told me comes from the factory for the 996 GT2. suncoast has a great price on them for $68 per side

and i'll take off the wheel this time to install them =P

This post is worthless without partnumbers!

i believe the difference is slight dimensions.. the 997 cup ducts do fit the 996TT but suncoast told me you may have to trim them slightly. the 996 cup ducts version requires no trimming

sorry

the 996 rear brake ducts are 996.331.127.90 and 996.331.128.90

the front 996 gt3 cup brake ducts are 996.341.117.92 and 996.341.118.92

you can get the rear brake ducts from suncoast at half the price at what vivid sells it for

See, that didn't hurt that much did it..?
Many thanks!!

The only question now is if there is any big difference between..
996TT rear brake ducts:
L - 996.331.127.90
R - 996.331.128.90
..and the..
997TT rear brake ducts:
L - 997.331.487.02
R - 997.331.488.02

?

That is exactly what the brake guru Craig over at www.Rennstore.com told me -

These combined with MOtul 600 brake fluid and especially the Pagid Yellows - sure made a huge difference for my track days!

No longer the fear of 'pedal to the floor' or toasted brakes!!

the turbo, just curious, are the rear brake ducts easy to install? is it just as easy as the fronts?

I didn't do the rears as I feel it is a 100% waste of money. The rears do what, 20% of the braking?

GT3 Cup Car & GT2 brake ducts

Here's a comparison of the GT3 Cup Car front brake ducts
(L 996.341.117.90, R 996.341.118.90)
to the stock 2001 996TT front brake ducts
(L 996.341.483.02, R 996.341.484.02)

As previously posted, they snap in and snap out easily, taking a couple minutes to install. If you have the stock 996TT fender liners, you will probably need to trim them some. If you have the GT2 fender liners, they integrate nicely with the ducting molded into the fender liners; no trimming required.

Here are the 996 GT2 rear brake ducts
(L 996.331.127.90, R 996.331.128.90)
My 2001 996TT did not have any rear brake ducts for comparison

These were also very easy to snap in place. Installation took a couple minutes; no tools or trimming required.

Many thanks !!

How did you install the rear ducts, did you need a mounting kit?
If you look at the pictures at Vividracing there is some extra hardware..

Still no respons on if there is any big difference between..
996TT rear brake ducts:
L - 996.331.127.90
R - 996.331.128.90

R - 997.331.488.02

I heard that someone who said that the 997TT rear brake ducts didn't fit the 996TT at all. Can someone confirm..?
