In Remembrance of 9.11.01
With the two year anniversary of the attack on the United States, there have been many shows airing on television. They have made me recall the events of that day that I felt I would share with you guys. I took the following photo from New Jersey the day of the attack. My reason for being there will become apparent shortly.

The following photo is a composite prepared by www.spaceimaging.com. It shows before and after satellite photos composited onto one file.:
My girlfriend worked for a company that was based in the World Financial Center directly across the street from the WTC. Her office is shown by the white arrow. Her company had employees on the mid-level floors of the WTC as well. Some of those people were part of her staff. We came back on Monday, September 10, 2001 from a long weekend in Martha's Vineyard, MA. Her first day back was September 11. Her first order of business was to meet with her WTC staff. Her normal commute takes her to Penn Station Newark and then, via Path train, to the WTC. She was on the Path heading towards NYC when the passengers noticed the fireball of the first plane hitting the first tower. At this point the Path train travels above ground. At that moment, the train ducked into the tunnel to head under the Hudson River to arrive at the WTC. When the train arrived at the WTC, it stopped normally and passengers started to disembark. It was then that the second plane hit. The building shook around them. At that moment, the lights went out and the Path train doors closed with the directive to depart the WTC station and head uptown. The train left the station as directed. This was a decision made by a Path employee. This decision saved my girlfriend's life. Literally, two more footsteps and she would have been out of the train and on the platform with the intent to go up to the floor her staff resided on.
I reflect on this day often and thank God for the outcome in my situation. An event such as this makes one really question the importance of everything around them. Be thankful for those loved ones close to you and live life like there is no tomorrow.
Best of wishes to anyone affected by this tragic event.

for all of us who have lost someone dear to us - whether on that day or another, including myself, we realize what is important. In two days we should put things in perspective and realize this very valuable object we all admire so dearly named Porsche is nothing more than an expensive piece of metal.
Oh what a day that was. I remember it well, the panic, the fear for loved ones that worked in the buildings. But it is also important to remember that with each assult upon our existance, if in truth it will only grow stronger!
I will never forget that day
My building was destroyed but I was only on the 4th floor across the open parking lot of the towers... Here was my new TT a few blocks away when they found it a few weeks later
