Tiptronic software updated?

I recently had my 45K maintenance done and when I got my car back, the tip seemed to perform better/more aggressively. Does anyone know if Porsche upgrades their programing for the tip? Just wondering.

Havn't heard of it. Could have been some fresh parts and codes being cleared re-setting the ecu's. Does the invoice show anything?

If it is a learning unit like the Audi ones (possible), when the dealer does a reset to things, it goes into an aggressive mode. Then over time, as it "learns" your style due to traffic, and just driving around town, it slows things down. IF this is like the Audi units, there was a posted way to reset the tranny to regain the "zip".... Perhaps that is what is going on for you.

Yes this is true the trans will adapt to your driving style. You would just have to clear the adaptation and then it will go back to stock and adapt again with your driving style. I have had calls back from customers that say there is something wrong with the trans bc we had cleared the adaptation.

Thanks for the quick response guys. I'm not complaining, believe me. I guess I need to drive a little aggressively to keep it where its at....I like the new way it seems to shift.

Anyone know for this person an easy way to clear the adoption? I used to do it on an Audi and it made life a lot better....hard to be aggressvie on US streets all of the time ....

or anywhere else probably.

The only way to clear the adaptation is with the porsche tester as far as I know. Some times with cars you could leave the batt cable off long enough and It would reset the adaptation, I dont think Its possible with these cars.

it only take a minutes or two for the tranny to adapt when i get aggressive. so, i dont see the point of resetting. if you want aggressive mode, just manually shift w buttons
