I owned a 360 Modena for about 2 months...Personally, I'm more of a Porsche guy, but I do love Ferrari's very much. It's really two different cars. I love to drive my cars and drive them hard. I decided to keep the TT over the 360 just because it suited my needs better.
Nonetheless, a very fine car...
PM me with any questions...i'd love to help!

I have a 2002 360 Modena and a 2001 996 TT. All I can say is that they are completely different cars. The 996TT seems downright civilized after I drive the 360. The 360 makes the noises that we all lust after, has the looks, the engine is basically in a display case, I truly don't ever have a desire to turn on the stereo in the car! The 360 takes more effort to drive well. The suspension on the 360 is absolute magic, I don't know what Ferrari did but it feels so good I can't compare it to anything.
The Porsche is entirely too civilized in comparison. Because of this I am on the fast track to getting an exhaust for it and some other mods. The Porsche just feels far more engineered and reliable to me. The Porsche has more "punch" with the power. Before i drove a 360 I thought the Porsche had the best suspension of any car I had driven, the 360 won me over there. I might add I have the RUF suspension on my Porsche.
I love both of the cars and I am keeping both. The Porsche is my daily driver and I can rely on it to be just about bulletproof. I don't worry about putting miles on it. I don't worry too much about where I park it. The Ferrari, on the other hand, is my pick for a spirited drive. And, it is not because it is more competent on the twisties but because the noises from that engine makes the experience just that much better.
If I just had to have one car, it would most certainly be the Porsche. I don't think the Ferrari is a practical daily driver. If I had a daily driver and had to pick one of these two as a second car, it would be a long deliberation. I am still in the honeymoon stage with the 360 since I have only had it for a month, so as of now I would lean towards the 360.

That was quite a reply - I've said it before, and I'll say it again 6speedonline is the best for getting great responses! I would give my 2 cents, and still will, but given the time - I can't tonight.
Track Performance
The turbo will destroy the 360 on the track with a good driver and some suspension mods. The susepnsion/handling on the 360 really is oustanding, and yes the sound is also. But, on the track, the turbo just dances by it.
The turbo is way more reliable, and much lower cost: both to buy and operate.

Sound
One more thing, the turbo is silent, the 360 ok, but nothing like a 12 cylinder Lamborghini with side draft webers and an Ansa F1 exhaust. The sound is devistatingly good and is only surpassed by a Ferrari 333 or other formula type 12k rpm turbo scream.

My dad has an 00 360 Modena with Tubi exhaust...
While the car is unbelieveable and sounds like nothing out there, I would take a Porsche Turbo over it ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!! I am not saying this because I own a Porsche, but from experience... The 360 is a great car but has some issues.
Even the newer Ferrari's are still somwhat quarky they have their little (or somtime big) issues... Also when I drove his car, I never really felt comfortable, I felt like I was fighting the car, not driving it?!?!? I am not really sure what I am trying to say, but I guess I am agreeing with everyone that the Porsche is a much more comfortable, reliable, and somwhat more civilized car (not to mention a hell of a lot faster and less expensive)!!
Regards,
Evan

Well...
The GT2 is faster everywhere. The 360 is more visceral. You really are talking about two different approaches to sports cars. If you haven't been in a Ferrari, you can't imagine how different the experience is. Not better, not worse. Different. The GT2 is a driving scalpel. The best new 911 to my mind. The 360 is like driving sex. A different kind of exhileration. Louder, brassier, more in your face, rougher, more obnoxious, and in many ways just as much or more fun. Both get the pulse up in a hurry...
Of the two, if I had to choose, I'd get a GT2 because they may just end up being the last of a dying breed.
Then again there is the Stradale...
Jack, are you out there, back me up on this one?

No comparison possible!
Love them both, but the 360 offers the more "thrilling" driving experience. The GT2 narrows the gap, but it's still not up to the F-car feel. I'm not talking acceleration/track numbers, just the "fun/grin factor" of driving the car -- words cannot do the 360 driving experience justice. That's my brief summary/2 cents, based upon actual ownership.
