Just got my car back from a GT28 and more upgrade..
What you guys dont understand is tuners have different styles of tuning. Some tune for for less timing and more boost and others like more aggresive timing and less boost. You can probably get away with 2.0 bar as long as your timing values are very low. I ran a max of 1.1 with my old Protomotive tune but with my new EPL tune I run 1.3 on pump.
Actually, they found an air leak that was limiting the boost being seen at the DV's. Once this was fixed, I am now seeing 1.1 boost steady. Feels a lot slower now, but at least I'm not on the verge of going KABOOM! The air leak also was the source of my DV's opening early. Runs great now... but I have a check engine light so I need to see what has the ECU upset. I also want to find someone near Indy to do a dyno tune.

That is correct (well you should only see a spike of 1.4 bar ...the dash gauge could be off)the difference between the two files on the old gt700 was in the timing and not boost. The timing advance is just as likely if not more to cause detonation than an increase in boost.

Set up sometime to see Jason. He can set you up with what ever file you would like (pump, race, water injection, etc).
