NAV disc, 2005 996 Turbo
SubscribeThe CPO Turbo I just bought came without any nav discs and I am having
trouble finding any, same with the dealer I bought it from. I have been told
that they are no longer available and I have been told that a dealer should
be able to update the car from PCM A to PCM B which would allow the 997
disc to work. Anybody know anything about this and/or have the disc for
sale?

p.s. for the guy who turned me in last time, I am not trying to sell anything!

Saw that earlier. Trying to find out if I have CD or DVD, seems CD from the
VIN and the local P dealer is looking into whether or not they can update
the car to accept the 997 nav disc or something newer than 2004 data.

If you have a 2005 996TT and OEM nav, then you have a CD based system. You will not be able to "update" to accept the 997 DVD discs. If you do not have the 2004 discs, you can easily get them for relatively cheap on ebay, etc. If you want updated discs, the link from Statman is the only source out there, so far.Originally Posted by rdf16

1. As mentioned above, you cannot use the "997 DVD" disk.Originally Posted by rdf16

2. The link wross posted is for a 2008 CD based disk, that is a Porsche part. It is disturbing - but not surprising- that yoor Porsche dealer can't find it!
3. If they are paying for it, simply call them up and tell them "here's the part number you need to order"... done.
4. Someone will be selling that on ebay, or a bit torrent one of these days. Porsche pricing is obscene, compared to almost any other marque.
