PSS10 Installation Question

Are rear control arms necessary in order to compensate for the negative camber when lowering the car an inch or so? - is this a must do or a nice to do? Is there anything else I should be considering?

Also when installed, how do you access the disc to change the firmness settings in the front and back?

For those that have installed PSS10s, are you happy with them? - big or moderate improvement over stock?

Seems like there are quite a few cars on here with the PSS10s/PSS9s. Did you just install and re-allign or did you have to do anything else to dial it in?

I can help you only slightly since my car had them on it when it was purchased. YOu can adjust them pretty easily. For the fronts, you just need to reach around the wheel to the underside of the shock body and adjust it from there. The rears are even easier. You lift up the carpet behind the rear seats and the adjustments are right there.

WHen you first install them, you are going to need to get the car aligned. I would also suggest getting the car corner balanced since it will most likely be off from installation. If you need to adjust the height in the future, you are going to need to get the alignment done once again.

Thanks! Sounds like you didn't need rear control arms? My understanding was that without these there would be too much negative camber.

I am not sure if the car has rear control arms, but i am pretty sure it does not. I just had an alignment done on the car and he made sure there wasn't too much camber to kill the tires, but enough to take it to a few track days a year. I do not have the specific numbers though.

The car was lowered basically as far as it could go and didn't have any camber issues that I know of.

I recently got my PSS9s and I have the Bose sub. How do you pull up the rear carpet so I can get access to the PSS9 adjustment ****? A picture would be even better. TIA.

I think on yours you've got a sub woofer too right? You have to remove the sub woofer first and then you get access to that carpet which you just pull/peel back

Hi Alex, long time no talk! Thanks, I do have the Bose speaker box. I am going to try to remove them tonite. I think it's just a torx screw holding the speaker box. The suspension is currently set at 8 front / 7 rear. I was going to set it to 5 front / 4 rear. 8/7 is very comfortable, no bounce and it absorbs the bumps very nicely. I'd like to see what a firmer setting feels like.

With your 19s you do want it to be a bit softer but I'd recommend going with 6/5....

On the bose, just remove the left/right plastic trim and that'll expose the t-30s either side (one each)....
