Just took my 2001 turbo to check PSM / ABS issue back to few weeks ago, and got the error code 4205 (front left speed sensor wire) from PIWIS tester. We swap both front sensor between left and right and still got same error code at left side, thus, I think the sensor should be fine, next thing we do is remove some internal plastic cover and check each connecting joints and did not find any ware off joint or wire.

My mechanic told me that he just got the wiring diagram and will check every single wire next week.

It’s seems a common problem for many people, and should have a sticky thread for it.

Sounds about right. I would think the next step would be to replace that side wiring harness (I just did this for about $120 at dealer + 1 hour labor). Hopefully that will fix it.

What really worries me is; ABS do kick in wrong time especially in low speed sometimes, thus I have to switch PSM off to avoid ABS kick engaging. It’s getting really annoying, anyway, we will try to solve this issue next week.

Anyway, with the CEL on I hammered a 650rwhp Viper. Good to hear about your new MAF. If you increase horsepower later, I would suggest getting the Hitachi MAF.

Ok good to know! And yes I plan to get either the Hitachi or Ford MAF later when I upgrade the whole system. I gotta finish my Camaro first!

It hasn't been coming for a long time! I just moved it to a more reputable/competent shop in Sacto. **** wasn't getting done at the other place I had it at near Reno. Should be done around Feb.

It is kind of a mix of road race/drag race build. Coilovers, 4 link, mintubbed, 275 front, 335 drag radials rear. Procharged 406 small block. 700rwhp. 5 speed manual. Can't wait to drive it!

When you are done with it, I won't mind running it with my 996TT. My friend is twin turboing his Camaro. That must be fun car to drive.

Absolutely let's do it. Would be a nice run I bet although I have never been to a track in any car. I will have some learning to do!

On this thread topic, I installed my new MAF today and cleared the codes. Hopefully will put some miles on her this week/weekend to see if they stay away. I hope so...

Cool deal bro. Let us know what happens with the TT. Hope no codes. I will do some runs this Saturday AM again. Hopefully I will post good quality videos for all. I walked the 650rwhp Viper last weekend (with drag radials), no to mention this car beats the SG700 series. We will see what other surprises will follow.

I am getting the same problems with ABS and PSM light on but also get Generator failure. The voltage reading goes to max - 16 volts and the air con goes off but the headlights work fine. Yesterday was the second time it happened. I pulled off the road and turned it off and on again for abot 5 secs but the problem was still there. I took the car home and turned it off and then on again after 10 secs. The problem disappeared. No body seems to mention generator failure. Could this be a problem with the alternator?
