Real or fake?
Hey guys, i know im not a big time poster, just a lurker. But i have a honest question here. Someone brought this to my attention, and i was looking for some valid opinions from some people in the know.
Do you think this car in the ad is an actual GT2? the price seems alittle low to me. Granted there is some body damage, but still seems to low to be true. Thanks for looking!

It might just be the photograph but there appears to be a strange verticle line or gap on the front lower right of that car. Also, I'm guessing that car has a salvage title. I think any GT2 with 11K miles would go for much more than that if it didn't have any issues. If you're close I suppose it would be worth a look.
Ya, ive learned alittle bit more about it and found out it is real, and which GT2 it is (IE not S-351's...although i already knew that much
).
Interesting. Ill look for that other thread.

+1 - This is a real GT2 and it does have a salvage title... this car was spotted awhile ago. If you plan on buying one to own and drive it might be worth looking into, it's been on the market for awhile so you could probably bring it down.

If you look at the site :http://www.floydsrepairables.com/ima...inks/13110.htm you will find a good damage on the front right hand side but looks like only the front bumper. But if it has a salvage title it mean there is a lot more damage than what we see on the pics....
Yes... this looks like the REAL deal! I'd need to look under/remove the front facia to see what damage has been done. Another thing that concerns me that most would overlook is possible coolant loss. If there was any wet areas around the impact area this could lead to a potential engine problem. If you get an air pocket in the cooling system as the motor warms up... you could nuke your engine!
Check the VIN with Porsche to confirm its a GT2, check for salvage title, have a PPI done, and take it to an independent body shop to inspect all the damage. Even at this price it may have more damage than its worth.
I saw this a while ago, if you guys look closer you will see that the passenger side quarter panel as well as the passenger door has also sustained damage.

u think? look closely at the exhaust tips, wheel gap, bumper alignment... looks like it's twisted. i'm not sure about a perfect frame. be careful...
