Hey all,
It's daily driven in New england weather - sun, rain, slush, snow, sleet, etc - it's seen it all. Even 14" of the light fluffy stuff one night.
As far as maintenance breaking items etc....It's the original engine, orginal tranny, original turbo's, original clutch - yes it's the same one with that many miles on it (although we did replace two bearings) the clutch plate, pressure plate and flywheel or all in there with 200k miles. The rear main seal was not leaking at 173,000 but we replaced it when we did the clutch bearings. Oh the car is bone stock - no performance improvements. Shocks are so shot at this point it needs to go in to the shop - I am pretty certain it'll be KW-V3's. Here is the list of repairs I have done:
· All three front radiators
· water pump
· coolant expansion tank (as a precaution with water pump)
· power steering pump/reservoir (for the annoying squeal)
· right front bearing, left rear bearing
· front diff (due to front bearing issue)
· clutch accumulator and slave cylinder (4 times now for the slave - one time lasted only 4 days and it failed - PCNA pulled all the parts on the shelves in the US as a result of this and a few others in the country with a similar issue)
· wiring harness repair (passenger side front most cylinder – harness to the coil pack chaffing issue)
· rear main seal (while engine was down for a wiring harness repair we pulled the tranny to inspect the bearings, clutch, pressure plate and flywheel)
· two bearings in the clutch assembly – one was bad, one was fine
· Decarbon the secondary air ports from the intakes to the exhaust
· Gas cap – the gasket finally went at 186,000+ miles
· Check valve and carbon canister on the vapor recovery system for the fuel tank
· normal services done on time
· brake pads (only on the 4th rear set and 5th front set - car has PCCB's and is tracked 6-10 days/year)
· oil changes every 5000 miles religiously
· tranny and diff fluids every 60,000 miles
· Baileys DV's
I think that's it. It keeps me smiliing all the time!! T2

Congratulations on 200,000. With New England weather it's all the more incredible & fun (though the weather has been pretty mellow since the highly controversial global warming). You obviously drive your Turbo the way it's meant to, no sitting in the garage and just looking pretty. Keep it up, enjoy.
Concur. You are 40K miles (25%) past what the factory says the rotors are good for. Can you post some photos of the rotor faces, and some thickness measurements?
To all,
The rotors are the originals (Gen 1) and the fronts are a little bit "scruffy" but not too bad and the rears are still in really good shape - no loss in thickness that I can tell. I'll try and get some photos over the weekend and post them. Thickness might be a tough one as I do not own a caliper to measure them. I have found that the best way to trea thte rotors well is a good three lap progressive heat up (as with the tires) and a good 5-10 minute cool down per track session.
I plan on driving it for the foreseeable future so another 100k may just be.................two short years way. Thanks T2
