May I have your opinions...

I'm looking for some input relative to the driving experience with a C4S cab.

I've owned a number C2 cabs and found them light, responsive, fun to drive but not real quick.

I own a 996tt which I find somewhat heavier feeling with heavier, less responsive steering but brutally fast (after the lag).

Can someone give me an idea as to how the 2004 C4S cab feels relative to these two? I know it will be slow, but is it more on the heavier, number side or more like the C2 cab?

Many thanks in advance.

The C4S cab will feel heavier like the TT as well as possess that less than responsive more numb steering only with a LOT less power. Just get a C2 cab and put a supercharger on it. Then you'll have a real driving car + TT power. I know of a pretty nice one with a supercharger, lightweight flywheel/stronger clutch, TT brakes, PSS9 coilovers, GT3 sway bars for sale

pages 10 thru 12...

I'm with Ben - the C4S has very similar feel to the TT, albeit 100 hp lower. If you like the more tossable feel of 2wd, your options are, in descending order of cost:

1) Ruf will custom build you a 2wd cab w/ better than TT performance, and whatever handling balance you want
2) GT2 (unless you're stuck on a cab of some sort)
3) Supercharged 911 cab. You can be out the door with 400+ hp for 60-70k, if you're lucky.
4) Supercharged Boxster. Great-handling, with performance probably a little better than a 996 cab.

or option 0) get a Carrera GT. Ben might know where you could pick one of them up too.

I went from a '99 C2 Cab to an '04 C4S Cab. It does NOT feel that much heavier than the C2, though it does feel more planted on the road. I love the '04...and there are many comparisons to the '99 that blow it away - the interior finish level, the option level, power, control, handling, braking, etc. So some of that is not fair.

But I do not find it 'heavy' in any way at all.

You can't toss it around like the C2, and you won't feel like it's bouncing the front end in tight turns like the C2 might, so that may make it seem heavier to some. But I do not find it heavy. I drive it 4-5 days a week, city and highway. And I absolutely love it.

PS - I am comparing cabs only.

Just my two cents.
