Need some advice...
Let me start off by saying that I don't post much but do closely follow your threads and now need some advice from my fellow members.
I'm a single man with no kids. I currently drive a 2010 X5M and a 2007 911 Turbo. I love them both but find myself longing for a F10 M5...which I have driven and liked more than the X5M but not quite as much as the 911 (in terms of emotional feel). I rarely drive my 911 but it's been my "dream car" for some time. Ideally, I'd trade the X5M for the M5 but can't afford it...so my options are:
1) Keep my current vehicles
2) Trade both for a F10 M5
3) Trade my X5M for a 2011 or so E92 M3...which I've owned before and still miss.
Would love to hear your thoughts and opinions...

Why do you need an X5 AND a 997? Do you have huge dogs or something? I would lease the M5 since you really like it, then when your lease is up get a 997 turbo again (prices will be even lower at that point) and another vehicle if you like.
I drive a 997 turbo and an F150 and I love them both. I use to have an c63 amg and my 997 but the two car thing didn't work so well I like having a vehicle that is versatile.

Do see your point about the versatility...I don't use the x5's cargo space often but it does come in handy every once in a while.
I guess big question is why do you 'rarely' drive your dream car? It doesn't sound like utility is the problem and the 911 makes a great dd so what's the reason?
If resources are limited (as they often are), it doesn't make sense to keep it if you're not going to drive it. Although this is a personal issue, I generally don't buy things that depreciate just to 'have' them. Of course, if I were in your shoes (esp with no kids), I'd dump the X5 in a heartbeat (which I find no fun at all), get a roof rack/box for the occasional utility needs and dd the 911.

I think I'll just hold off for used M5's to drop into the mid $50ks and then trade the X5M...and keep the Turbo!
Appreciate all of the insights and opinions.
Funny there are many TT + Raptor guys and both are awesome!
I personally like to have a big car and TT also if you can. For many reasons. Personally I would stick with it and keep the X until...I LOVE me some F10 ///M5 but still choose a TT.
Maybe all you need is some spice on them.

Automobile itches are a funny thing and sometimes one just needs to get the bug out of one's system. It sounds like sacrilege but in your case, option #2 isn't such a bad idea. why? (1) you've checked the 'dream car' box, wanted it, got it, now you hardly drive it. (2) an F10 M5 is a happy medium between your two current vehicles, sporty (not a TT but no slouch either) it's got 4 doors and (3) the F10 M5 isn't too 'flashy. I hear the much improved transmission also makes for a better DD than the E60 M5!
You are single w/ no kids, so this is the time to live 'free'. You can always get back into a p-car if you desire. If you go the F10 M5 route, I would lease rather than finance it (it affords more optionality at the end of the lease period).
