C6Z06 Intake and Tune compared to 996tt

Does anyone know if a k24/18G or a K16/16G car can keep up or beat a C6 Z06 with an intake and tune on highway pulls? say 60 - 130 mph

I ran with a tuned zo6 over the summer and I was pulling pretty hard on him. We were on a drive and I was stuck on a single lane road behind him and whenever he took off I was catching him.

I think a Zo06 with a intake and tune alone puts low 500 whp...and the car weights only 3100lbs..so my guess is it would trap high 120's.

has anyone run one yet?

I really think your chances are slim with just a tune and exhaust...i just wish it was true. My friend has a z06 with intake and tune and its pulls like crazy. Not going to race him till i get upgrades.

I have a turbo s with fvd stage 4 chip and speedtech exhaust. That's it, and that dyno was in the summer, now I adjusted my WG's and with the colder weather my car is running much stronger.

My car runs very strong, the FVD chip that I have was installed by Tony at EPL and this chip has been in 2 other cars I got it from Elliot (turbohead) and I believe he got it from John D. Tony also had something to do with it I believe. I suprise allot of people with my dyno results from just a chip and exhaust but I invite anyone who would like to meet me to go for a drive I am always looking to go for runs. I go every Sunday during the season so there are plenty of people that have seen my car go. My next mods are 5 bar FPR and upgraded WG's and DV's then either new or ported headers. I can't wait to see what my car dyno's after the mods.

wow man ..your car seems like a freak.. those are great dyno numbers from what i have seen here so far. Heck even a k24/18g recently dynoed about 510 whp. Enjoy that car ...more reason to hold on to it. With those numbers i wouldnt doubt if you can play with stock z06 or even a tune only z06.

also do you still have a stock clutch?

my clutch is completely stock. I don't know if I'm going to need to upgrade it after the other mods I have planned I realize it might be necessary. I am going to go over everything when I get to EPL and let Tony put together a game plan for me.

K24s with an exhaust, good flash and wastegate is impressive.

While one might go for a different turbo if you start from K16s (like a hybrid and/or zero clearance) the stock X50 K24s when you unrestrict the exhaust, and add wastgates that hold boost to 1.2-1.3 should not be underestimated. (and have the right tune)

Now living long with a stock clutch on that set up is questionable... I know I am on borrowed time.
