k24/18g setup with or without EBC??
I happen to like the Vpro in street cars. It lacks on a little bit of the capability of the other units, but for a street car, it's a great choice. I have used the Vpro in 250whp N/A street cars, and 1400+ wheel horsepower street cars, so it covers a broad spectrum; however, n2o control incorporated in for launch control, 2 step is a pain in the **** and uses up almost all of your available tables and outputs(on a Toyota Supra MKIV). The newest version of the Vpro(not released in the USA yet), has better control and more option output and input management than before. Not a big change, but a change in the right direction, none the less.

Nothing, why? It depends on your primary use for the car.

It is a matter of preference, and the primary objective of the car. Don't get me wrong, I like the AEM also, for certain platforms, and for racing. I also like the Motec and a half dozen others... all of which I can work with. For me, it is definitely application dependant.Justin
you have a Vpro in an NA G35? What were you thinking?

Now it's Tommy's turn to tie you up and beat you ...

Justin,
I was planning on having SGP racing put a Greddy TT kit on her. Then a freind said "why are you going to pour all that money into an Infiniti, I will sell you my GT2 for 100 K". 2 years ago that was an excellent deal for a GT2 w/ only 3K miles.
I also was having some bad experiences w/ SGP so the car now has a 4K engine management system and custom exhuast. 7K for 50 hp.

G is the daily...at one of the campuses where I teach (70 mile rtrip, but I get paid mileage) the faculty parking is in front of the student lot, the kids walk by the cars and scratch them all the time. I teach there twice a week and need a car I don't stress about.
My main office, I have my own lot and a security guard who runs the kids off. I take the M there. I never drive the GT2 because my boss gets pissed (they all drive prius/smart cars).

Love the ending part. Everytime my boss walks in my office also, they see my car's pix, they say "We pay you too much"

I do the same thing ttboost!
I just thought I would update everyone on the status of the "standalone" in the 996TT.
After grabbing all of the data I felt I needed over the last few weeks, and finally getting some time to do the remainder of the wiring, it's up and running.
There are no major CEL's... I say major because I did get a CEL for the O2 sensor heater circuit(probably my fault in the first place), but other than that everything seems cool. I will change the spark plugs tomorrow and quite possibly in the afternoon put her back on the dyno and compare stock to standalone numbers.
I am currently running off of the factory MAF and injectors, but will be switching to speed density and larger injectors shortly, thereby getting rid of that nasty convoluted intake pipe.
I just wanted to let everyone know that it works fine.
