the last version looked WAAAAAAAAAY better. i'll take one of those over the new M5 any day. i don't care if the new one performs better, the old one is plenty of car for me!

Had an E39 M5--loved the appearance/performance. I would buy an E39 M5 over the new one. I just can't figure out how any designer would think that the new 5er looks good, and what's the deal with I-Drive--NO ONE on this planet likes it, yet BMW just continues use it. At least it's an option in the new 3.

I never thought I would like Bangle's designs. I saw a blk/blk 7 sport with tinted windows next to an S-class and it all came together to me. Ever since I have loved the 7 and the new 5 although it looks bad in stagnant state, looks great on the road especially in silver or black. To me the new BMW's look light years ahead of their competition which has old looking cars. Its funny, anybody see the spy shots of the next s-class? Same trunk design as the 7 and almost the identical interior with i-drive **** and all!

cmon! don't give Bangle too much credit, anything black / black with deep tint looks good. Except a crown vic cruiser .

The E60 has yet to grow on me. I was positive that I would be trading in my E39 next year for the new beast. I'm not so sure now. Maybe the S3 would be a good alternative.

I have owned the last 3 models of 5 series and loved them all. My 545i is great to drive and I'm fine with the looks, especially on the road, the pictures don't do the car justice. I'm pleased to hear folks are dropping their spots on the list, I'll just get my M sooner!

well, being that hardly anyone here really likes the new M5, it would probably be a waste to ask if anyone on this forum would be interested in buying my slot as one of the first 5 on the list to get this fine "bangled" m5! anyone, anyone??? i have had a deposit down now for 3 years!
BTW, love the car. i'm not getting it b/c i now have a free, paid-for ride by my work and it just wouldn't make sense.
