It's a good price if everything checks out, i.e., PPI, no damage, paint work, etc.

By not driving in, racing or being around modded Porsches I believe he meant they are addictive. If you ride in one, you WILL want one it's just that simple.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Agreed...the cars are bulletproof and making them go fast is oh so easy and nice.

I've driven stock 996TTs before and was kinda eh about them...throw on some upgraded turbos and the fun begins!!!

Hey what wrong with guards red? Their are so many silvers and blacks out there. The red really turns heads. I havent seen any around town where I live then a few weeks ago a nieghbor down the street bought a 997tt(gaurds red)-go figure. The 02 sounds like a great deal. But the red one in N.Y. rocks if it works out.

I think it is too expensive. Fifty thousand should buy you a CPO car at todays prices.

Thats a good point the prices took a drop in the last couple weeks. Maybe I should just wait another month or so for them to fall more. Well

I think now is the ideal time to buy. January is generally a slow month for car sales, esp. for high end sports cars as half the country under winter-induced slumber. Procrastinating a bit longer might put you against the inevitable rise in sales in spring.

As I said, if I had $50K budget, I would start sending email to porsche dealers nationwide to see if anyone has a CPO car that they want to move this month. I know there is an 02 CPO car in dallas that they have been advertised for the last 2 month. It is being offered at $49K, but I'm certain that the dealer will yield a bit to the financial leverage.

Thanks,

The porsche website is quite useless.

I find that searching in autotrader provides the best results.
Here are a few CPO cars from around the nation

I planned on keeping my car stock ........ now i've got 10K worth of parts sitting in my garage awaiting install. What intially started as a "budget" setup has seen its share of add-ons and it hasn't even made it on the damn car yet!!

edit: I blame this on Sean, Paulie, and that fact that if you drive a stock turbo in Houston you will be ridiculed to no end.
