By the way...

The info on 1000 miles per qt is "on average" or "approximately" meaning that it is roughly what most people should experience. This is very different from the maximum allowable.,,

My consumption fell to almost zilch with 5w-50 Mobil 1.
I plan to use that and 5w-40 "Turbo Diesel Truck" Mobil 1 as my choices for the future...both decreased oil consumption with no appreciable change in mileage or engine power.

I was at about 850 per qt with 0w-40...to 1000mi...varied. With 5w-50 it is about 1 qt every 3500 miles.
