OT - Just lost my best friend of 16 years...
I just let my big buddy go after 16 years of faithful companionship
***** was my best buddy and was there every time I walked into the room. Be it from a long day at the office, or from being just around the corner from another room, it seemed to me like he had been waiting for me for hours to pat him on the head and give him a milk-bone.
He will be greatly missed:

and another in his favorite position:

God speed *****

Sorry for your loss, Rich. Just finished seeing Marley and Me, and although I made it thru the book without crying, I can't say the same for the movie. I miss my Nacho, Sam, Sugar, and Chippers(an English Springer and my first dog).
RIP *****. God knows there's a bunch of Milk-bones where you're headed.

He looked like a good dog. I'm sorry to hear the bad news. I know how tough it is.
I flew with a guy a few years ago on a long international trip. One night we were talking and I asked him what he misses on these long trips, i.e., his wife, his kids , etc.? He said his kids were grown and out of the house. He reflected a moment and smiled then said that he misses his dog. We laughed then he added, when I get home he's always excited to see me. He doesn't complain, spend a lot of money or have a honey do list ready to meet him at the door. All he wanted was to spend time with me.
