I've been following the 996 market and I'm astonished to see that 996 turbos are now going for around 34k-40k. links below

I know these guys and they have been holding these cars for a LONG time, probably a couple months easily now. They had no choice but to blow them out cheap with a no reserve. I saw them in person and they showed good. I would advise to drive them first before taking them home.
Agreed, I've been following the threads over there to, it's crazy. Don't forget the king of all depreciation, AMG. I love em, but 1/2 price in 2 years is crazy.

Those particular cars have been on e-bay by the seller a few times already, and they don't sell or the deal falls through for whatever reason. They look nice and the one has a new clutch, RMS. If that's a price they'd take I need to find some cash and my down to Pompano Beach.
It seems like this is "too good to be true" ...if I was the high bidder I would be very careful. This seems like a going out of business sale...bank probably has title, or car listed as collateral on line of credit. A bankruptcy could make this deal sour very quickly.
Or maybe I'm just jealous....

The seller seems to always have a 996, 996TT, or a M3. So they must sell quite a few or go back and forth to the auction. I have never been by their location. They appear legitimate enough to buy a car through at that price.
Lets be honest. These are 6-7 year old cars with mid-range milage and no warranty. Fifty thousand goes a long way in today's car market. Many newer fun cars, with less miles and full warranty can be had in this price range. Competition is stiff out there.
