Which scanner to get? Durametric or Auto Engineuity?

Well, I dropped off my car today at the stealership to have an allignment done $350....not too bad....but than I wanted to have them clear the airbag light that came on when I took the door panels apart and the guy tells me it will be $199 just to hook it up to the scanner without even clearing the light...so I figured for not much more I can get one of the readily available scanners....so Which on is better way to go and why???

PS> Since this is the first time I acutally got to drive this car on a long stretch of road and I hit 1.1bar I assume the car is flashed (I got it a while ago but needed to do some suspension and body work so I didn't drive it) The question is ....how do I find out which flash/chip I have???
Other than that the car seems stock.

Durametric

I got a Durametric and really satisfied with it. Especially like the "drive links" to do proper troubleshooting. But cannot compare because I never saw the other model...

I've used Durametric to clear my airbag light when I install my yellow seat belts. Very easy to use, much better options than going to stealer!

I use Durametric. Works great. But I don't know how I check which flash you have. Good luck.

I have the Actron CP9145 and it is very easy to use - no problems for the few years I've had it.

smdubovsky will become famous soon enough
I used my durametric on the wifes boxster to track down a dislodged cat/bad O2 sensor problem. Good software, no complaints. Far more advanced than the actron code reader I've used (sorry don't remember the model)

Durametric is more advanced than the Actron - I agree.

I don't recall the Durametric being capable of A/F ratios but I believe it will give a real-time log of lambda. Problem is that it won't sample fequently enough at high RPM to give any meaningful data.

Any more info? Who are the vendors that sell these and what are the prices?
