Definately, but I would try to wait for the Z06 version. The rumors coming out of Chevy are suggesting an amazing car (that can trounce the 996tt all day long). Latest I hear is 2,900lbs, 550bhp, 500 lb ft. Not sure on price though.

Even if you just purchased the C6, I would go for it. The corvette is a great car for the money and gives you a completely different driving experience from anything else. Please keep us updated with what you decide.
The only thing I do not like about the Z06 is the roof. I understand the C6 Z06 will have a similar top. I do not like the Z06 top or the profile of that car. I like the lines and the "targa" roof on the coupe better. I think the Z51 performance will be enough for me.

What do you think?
Isn't there a corvette board somewhere? What kinda answers do you expect to get from a bunch of porsche nuts?

porsche and corvette is like virgin olive oil and A1 steak sause.
don't put them together on the same table.

Drove a C6 already. Smaller than the C5 and a bit wierd looking but great bang for your buck. Braking kinda sucked as did the suspension but that's ok for under 50k... lot's of power.

It's a great car for the money, but it's all about preferences. If you like it, that's all that matters.

Actually, I find most people on this forum to be car nuts, not just Porsche nuts.

Since a lot of people on this forum have had experiences with many different cars, I figured it would be a good place to ask. If I go to a corvette forum, I am sure I will get feedback telling me to buy one.

Yeps... but you know what.. aftermarket brakes and suspension can fix things The suspension on a 996 C4S/TT is absolutely a disgrace!

That's a good thing I guess. Otherwise, all the TT's will have to run for cover.
