for those that don't read french

Here's a quick, dirty, and crude translation.

CRISNÉE A completely irresponsible behaviour came to tarnish this weekend. In effect, on Sunday morning, two drivers of Porsche devoted themselves to a true running and it, on E 40 in the middle of other cars. This completely suicidal attitude could end only by a bloodbath.

It is regrettable to hear that the persons located behind the steering wheels of both German fireballs were pilots, working therefore on circuit, zone adapted for this type of journey!

Accident occurred at about 10 h 40, at the level of Crisnée (Liège). One of both Porsche left in a violent swerve, crossing the central berme to meet on the other side of the freeway. The whole in more than 250 km / h!

According to witnesses of the stage, accident was of a rare violence. All speak about a huge cloud of dust and grit. These last besides touched several vehicles.

Crash was dreadful, disintegrating Porsche completely. In its exit of road, the German fireball dragged a post of illumination on more than 100 m. Of course, both occupiers, domiciling in Monaco, died outright. One of the victims is called René Willart, a Belgian pilot.

Fast, Unit provincial de Circulation d' Awans closed the freeway to allow to intervene in complete safety. The Office of Public Prosecutor was notified and an expert went down on places.

Contrary to the fact that they could expect, the other motorist decided to continue his running, without caring least world of the fate of his companion of game.

This person is also pilot and is called Michel Heydens, been born in 1967. This individual was the owner of both Porsche, registered in Luxembourg. Heydens is as for him domiciling Monegasque. Called out in Spa, close to Francorchamps where the person concerned had to participate in the 1.000 km of Spa, it therefore went through several dozens kilometres before being intercepted by the police. It therefore cared at no instant of occupiers' state of health of the other Porsche, while he knew them to have lent them one of his vehicles.

The fact remains that, yesterday evening, Michel Heydens was deprived of freedom for unintentional manslaughter due to dangerous behaviour. This morning, it will be introduced in front of the judge of education for will award or no arrest warrant towards him.

His passenger, of English nationality, was also intended to gather additional information on the occurrences of accident. The poll will have to determine if cars, yes or not, felt each other. Already, they know that the meter of the uneven car was blocked in 250 km / h, but the expert does not exclude that the speed of fireballs should still be superior.

Tragic, but better than dying of some long lingering disease. Getting out of bed is dangerous.

The owner of the two Porsches is a race car driver:

The sad lesson learned here is:

Make sure not to give your Porsche keys to anyone! You might get put in jail if they kill themselfs.

Yes. And we've all done stupid stunts like that on public roads. Let's hope we don't read about each other in a column like that.

Drive safely.

I wonder if GT3 seats and a rollbar would have increased their chances of survival?

These guys were on there way to spar for the ELMS race. think the GT2 hit a light pole at 120mph and it cut the car in half
