I was taking my wife and kids to see her in-laws this morning and I got passed by a black Porsche GT2 and white Ferrari 360 Spider around 9:30 AM on the Palisades Highway. They went by us going about 100 mph. Too bad I was in my Range Rover. The cars looked and sounded amazing, just wondering if they belonged to anyone from here.

 

probably Hani in the 360.... Never seen it in person...but last I heard, he had a white 360 spider...

were you in a new black Range? I passed one in my cayenne at that time on the PIP.... late for work!

 

Yes I was in a new black Range, I did see two Cayennes, both black. Was that you? I actually met up with Hani a few days ago as he got a GT2 carbon fiber emblem from me. I forgot to ask him what color his was, but he informed me that he just picked up one.

 

I believe Hani might of been in the 360. his friend has a black C4S techart front, GT2 rear wing. prob those two.

I was in a black Cayenne S on PIP. It had tinted glass all around and clear sidemarkers on 19s. I remember being held up by a suburu wagon of some sort going 50 or so in the left lane...if you were in the range, you were also being held up.

I was right behind you then took off around 100 or so when you or whoever graciously pulled over to the right lane.

my commute which normally takes 20-25 minutes took only 10! I hate it when im late! I was so close to bringing the turbo...maybe I would have made it in 5 minutes?!?!?

 

Yeah that was you then BCS, what a coincidence. Pistol, it was not a C4S, 100% sure it was a GT2 as I saw the script from the back and the side air ducts.

 

Well...nice to meet you... Do you drive the Turbo on the PIP? Im always on it so i'll keep an eye out for you. Seems like a beauty!

Btw... How do you like the range? The cayenne is powerful, handles well...but just too small now that I have a little one and all her toys/strollers, etc. to lug around. Plus, golf clubs have to go in at an angle...what a PITA!

Im deciding between the new range and A8 (not sure if i'll splurge and go with the 6.0)... will probably go with the A8L 4.2 b/c of the handling and the fact that Im getting sick of SUVs. However, i'd appreciate you thoughts on the Range.

BTW... which power package do you have? Impressive numbers.

Sometimes I do take the Turbo on the PIP, but not often. I really like the Range, my wife also enjoys it. I agree with the room capacity vs the Cayenne and thats why I went with the Range. I mean the car is solid, handling is not bad for its size. Personally the Range and A8 are different classes, I have a MB S55 which I chose over the A8 at the time, but for room, comfort and bad weather situations the Range is up there imo.
