You have ridden in my car when it was tuned for 614 rwhp and you have ridden in "a few modded cars." How do you compare the experiences?

Regarding set up, you really need to read A. Graham Bell's book. The low 12's compared to mid 12's to very low 13's in the AFR's are simply two school's of thought. Most of what you hear on the boards about the differences in this thought is salesmanship to one degree or another. That is my opinion after reading three of Bell's books. Bell has far more hands on experience than anyone I know or anyone I have heard about. He does an excellent job of explaining the above and much more in very unbaised terms.
Hi Chad, I remember the ride well thanks. I wasn't certain you had Protomotive then, at the time I figured it was a full-on SCARGO packadge. I had always considered your car to be out of the ordinary- I don't know anyone that has come close to doing the amount of mods that you have. but with that in mind, I remember it being a very smooth delivery. Back then my car only ran 11.6 @124 and it obviously felt a lot faster than that. No surging or lagging etc.. well I don't know where your boost comes on in comparison to stock. Very fast.

It's hard to gauge "straight line" speed because we went through the twisties. But what short straights you drove, the car pulled very hard. I did expect higher mph at the drag strip though. I know it was hot and there was some issue with those bulb thingies though. Then again after riding in Silvino's 2bar 830rwhp Supra everything feels slow hehe. Even a Hyabusa...

The thing I remember thinking was that the JRZ suspension system was truly amazing. Rails. I think every car should come stock with those- the road would be a safer place.

PS I guess looking back it's hard to compare different cars on different days/conditions based on a ride. Obviously we're dealing with some very fast cars. It would be dumb to say any of 'em were slow

Hehe I guess it'll take out a few Civics. But then again, I'm lucky, being armed with monkeytronic it takes a good shifter to get beat the Porsche system.

Yes, I have read the books. I have been doing turbos for a while remember I do disagree that not all situations should warrant the left side theory of tuning if you will. I am not really at liberty to discuss what things have not lasted in the market. It isn't because I don't have any, it is because its not my place to talk about it. People will find out on there own. Different use will warrant different settings. Your goals and mine are not the same. Incidentally Rufs conservative approach also yields low 12 AFRs. I respect that this is a subject that we will agree to disagree. My knowledge and recommendations will remain conservative, yet still able to provide big HP. Not all my data comes from Porsches I have owned and modified more cars than I can mention. Ask my wife.
