Replaced MAF, still CEL and new bunch of codes...help?
So I replaced the MAF and the PSM/ABS lights went away, but the CEL light came back after a day.
The car still feels jerky and bogging.
I checked the boost and it seems to be stuck at 0.4 / 0.5 bar at WOT.
I took it back to the indy and got a fresh set of error codes:
P01002
Circuit low input P1101 malfunction central fuel air meter
Misfire P0306, P0304, P0305, P1133, P1126, P1128, P1130
They're recommending I come in for a smoke test. They're not filling me with a lot of confidence right now, so before I hand them over my baby, I'd like the forum's feedback on the error codes listed above, please.

when was the last time you had the car serviced? plugs, coil packs inspected/changed?
misfires are bank 2 (cylinders 4,5,6)
Possible fault cause

♦ Mechanical causes:
Valve lifter chattering, variocam, camshaft control, valves leaking.
P1126-1130 is oxygen sensor (26/28 bank 1, 30/33 bank 2)
so either the sensors are bad or perhaps an injector leaking/fouled or another system leak as you have ruled out the MAF.

I think its a boost leak or plugs
A few weeks ago my headers cracked, which caused a bunch of the codes you listed. So you may also want to check those if they are not stock.

The only mod is EvoMS billet diverter valves.
I'm taking the car to Vision Motorsports in Laguna Hills this afternoon.
After speaking with them, I have more confidence in their ability to diagnose and fix the issue than I do in my other Indy in Laguna Beach.
I'll keep you posted on what they find.

Based on this forum's recommendations, I found Vision Motorsport in Laguna Hills, CA. Dwaine is very serious about Porsche and their shop is everything a Porsche driver can hope for.
Dwaine went over the car with a fine-toothed comb and looked at all the possibilities. There was a small boost leak from one of the intercooler hoses but the main culprit was severely fouled plugs.
I got the 60K service and had everything else checked out and I am a very happy camper.
BTW: The replacement MAF I bought from Speedtech.com did NOT work.
Your mileage may vary, but I just wasted $136 plus shipping on a non-functioning MAF.
As soon as Dwaine put in a Porsche MAF, all the MAF-related codes went away.
As such, I cannot endorse or recommend Speedtech.com on their replacement MAFs...
They explicitly state they do not accept returns and I guess we know why now.
I have nothing but praise for the guys from Vision Motorsport and they will be the only ones working on my 996TT from now on.

I had a similar issue - but not all the codes you are getting.
First time it happened the PSM/ABC and CEL went on breifly. The just CEL stayed on. When I restarted the car CEL went away.
Car stuttered/misfired under boost (.4) and heavy accerleration. Felt like a 76 240z. When I drove normal, it was fine. No CEL after the initial warning to drive to the nearesst shop. I was misfiring on CYL 1. I also have about 57,000 miles.
Dealer replaced plugs..runs like a brand new car. EVERYTHING about the car changed...blisteringly quick..

You should have contacted us if you had a problem with the MAF. Even though our web site says no returns for electrical components, we will review every issue with a fresh outlook. I have heard of a few MAF problems recently and it is hard to say in many instances whether it was a bad MAF to begin with or whether it was damaged in use by an ongoing problem, V-Flow, etc. - that is why nobody wants to take electrical products back, but we have exchanged a couple and refunded a couple. The percentage of complaints to the total number sold is small, but it does exist. In your case, since you seem convinced it was a bad MAF to begin with and I don't want you to feel that Speedtech took advantage of you, I will gladly refund your money upon return of the MAF in question. We are not in business to take advantage of unknowing consumers - that is the polar opposite of our business philosophy.
So, in short, I'm sorry you had the problem. Please return the part and we will refund the purchase price. No questions asked - and I'm glad you got your car's problems squared away.

But putting that aside, we will refund your purchase price regardless of whether you return it or not, as I will not be comfortable with this issue ending "unfinished". That said, I would like to receive the MAF in question back for testing and ultimately credit from the manufacturer. Please contact me or Chad via email and advise the status of the MAF, once you know it's whereabouts. When/if you have it, we will issue a UPS call tag, so that you can return it at our expense. We will be processing your refund on Monday.
Also, I just returned from a night out with the wife and I must say THANKS to all that helped in restoring my rep back to a favorable green status. I really appreciate that guys (friends, customers, whoever - thanks). It was a pleasant surprise and I must say the green square looks a lot better :-)

This is a case in point for trying to work things out with the vendor before hitting the grouse button. I've found that so many times, the vendor is more than willing to work with me on an issue. It's really all in the approach and being civil and keeping it offline unless the vendor just refuses to respond within a reasonable period of time. A positive rep for a vendor is an important visual aid for other folks who might be thinking about buying the product....give the vendor a chance to deal with the issue...most of them will. When issues hit the public forum, it's too easy for them to become a polarizing factor with folks taking sides without knowing all the facts.
I completely agree and have publicly apologized to John for the tone of my initial post.
For the record: I did contact them when the issue occurred, but I also jumped to conclusions based on their stated policy of no returns.
So I apologized for not giving them enough time to respond and for jumping to conlusions about what response they may have given had I given them the time to formulate it.
I buy almost everything online and I almost always address any issues directly with the vendor before hitting the whine button. In this case, I just put two and two together very quickly and came up with something other than four...
