CGT for sale 400K?
CGT for sale 400K?
A buddy of mine works at SpaceX in El Segundo and he said that the owner Elon Musk bought a CGT and doesn't like it so he is interested in selling it probably at 400K. That's all I know if someone is interested they could call the owner directly at SpaceX.

Actually, destination, gax tax, etc runs the MSRP new up to about $460k which makes $448k more than $10k off.

With over 3,000 cars planned most collectors - traditionally the targeted buyers - are staying away. 3000 cars just does not sound like an exclusive automobile.
With a 12% profit for the dealer I think you'll soon see new GTs offered around $400K in Autoweek.
My prediction is that a used GT can be had for much less than $400K before mid 2005.
Just my $.02.

Ben, I don't mean to **** you off, but I'm guessing this likely will...
Why are you so bitter? No one put a gun to your head when you jumped at the chance to get a CGT. They told you up front that the $50k deposit was nonrefundable. You also knew how many they were going to build. It sucks that you didn't get to drive the car when you visited Germany, but it's understandable as they only had so many mules and not everyone's skills are up to the level of the vehicle. If it had the resale value of an Enzo, you'd be laughing all the way to the bank. But it doesn't and you're bitter about that since you've had a change of heart about owning one.
I understand your issues about the clutch and the handling. They're valid concerns, but all ultra high performance cars all have their nuances. I'm sure many owners have adapted to the CGT's unique characteristics.
We've all made mistakes (some more costly than others). Like I said, I'm not trying to **** you off, but for your own health & sanity you should accept the facts and move on.
Look on the bright side, most of us here would kill to be in your position. Enjoy what you have and the great things that will surely be in your future.
No offense intended.
Flame away...
