Flying Viper is infamous around these parts
I had the same thing happen... I had to replace the hydrolic lifts and pump.... expensive fix..... good luck Hope this is not what you are going to have to deal with.

Me too, cost me $1600. from Porsche, all new parts.
If I knew what other spoilers looked like I might have considered one. Can anyone post pics of different spoiler options.
Thanks

Go to misha's website, Getty design, MA Shaw's site, and perhaps the thread we just had here that I started on wing questions (search under my name). Misha and MA Shaw are/were board sponsors and do great work. Tom Kerr has Getty Design stuff and posted a thread on his car's transformation.

What you want is a fixed wing.

Advantage: no hydraulics (less weight).
Disadvantage: cost, but possible about the same as fixing broken hydraulics. Balance...you'll probably want to add at least an aero front lip with a fixed wing or the car might look "back heavy". Does to me at least...so I added a front lip a long time ago.

I went 996RS used wing for DE use....and I happen to love it, but I like the way the flying lizard cars look too. That is the most extreme way to go (what Tom and a few others have done..see above thread and Steve K's "big axx wing" or something like that thread).

I just bought mine from the dealer knowing that the car had this issue. They committed to fixing it, and I found out today that the issue is that the master pump (not the lifts themselves) had cracked seals and spewed hydraulic fluid out of the back. The cause was that the car sat for 3 months before I rescued it. I suppose I don't have to tell anyone here this, but drive your car!
