spoiler warning came on .. wtf ?
hey guys
my spoiler warning light came on
but the spoiler goes up at 75 and down at 37 like normal ..
i found that if i manually push the spoiler button, it will rise, but it doesnt go down when i push the down button
when i restart the car it goes down, and when i pass 75 , the light goes back on ...
also, i noticed when its down, its uneven
what are my solutions ?
p.s. i just washed the car and its 28 degrees, not sure if that makes any difference ...

update
guys i sprayed wd40 on the hydrolic cylinders, and im getting the same result
the wing goes up and down lop sided
the left side is about 1" higher than the right...
when the wing is all the way down, the right side sits normal, the driver side is 1" from the bottom.. .

I have this exact issue, though if the raised height is uneven, I haven't noticed visually while in the car. Obviously, if it's a couple of mm's, one would need to be outside the car and measure. Will measure and wd-40 if uneven....
funny how threads pop-up with issues I have had w/ car and not looked for solution. I have the ABS and PSM CEL issue (or variation thereof), though have not looked at MAF or any other answer..

Pop off the cover on the bottom of the "lazy" ram - it is just a snap-on decorative cap. If you see any oil in there, you have the same thing many of us have had - leaky hydraulics. AFAIK no one has figured out a way to fix them economically - you either get a complete new / used replacement hydraulic unit or go to the fixed GT2 wing.

We build hydraulic cylinder powered cutting tools. I haven't had the pleasure of looking deep inside these lift mechanisms but usually its fairly straight forward to disassemble hydraulic cylinders and replace seals. The seals are almost always standard sizes and are very cheap, like $2 -10 each if you go to a seal supplier.

I think you just found yourself a new business opportunity. ...
Best of luck. If you are correct, there are a lot of customers for you. I'd try it and then get a business set up/ads in rennlist, the works.

Hey, If anyone has an old set of cylinders, I'll rebuild them for them free just to learn the tricks. My stuff runs at 10,000 PSI, but I'm gonna guess these must be very low pressure. Should be a cakewalk unless there's some dis assembly magic involved.
