ECU Swap Question

I have a 996 Turbo ECU with the original key chip. My question is can I swap that ECU and the key chip to another 996 Turbo without going to the dealer for ECU re-programing? Thanks

If you have the original ecu from the car and a spare ecu, any EPL dealer can help you with this without having to go to the dealer.

I have a ECU with Giac program and was wondering if I can swap it into a friend car for him to try it without going to too much trouble.

TMK....there is no way to replace an ecu without telling the DME/brains this has been done....therefore you will need a PIWIS or PST2....there are folks other than dealers with this equipment though it is expensive equipment and they may want to charge you for the use.
