I used to be in the composite business manufacturing extreemly high quality parts for various applications. I got out of the business last year and thinking I am interested in getting back into it exclusively for the B-car, P-car and F-car scene. I made amoungst the highest quality parts out there. I have people who can attest to the quality of my work. Here is a picture of a pure carbon splitter tray I made for the E36 M3.
I have a picture of a hood I did laying around some where. I'll post it when I find it.
I don't use a contact lay-up manufacturing process like most guys. I use a injection molding process which makes my parts viod free and much stronger. I have a custom developed epoxy resin system which I use and post cure the majority of my parts. I'd like to gauge interest. I'd like to know what you guys thinkg about a 996 hood. I'd have two version of the hood. Race and Sport. Race hood would be around 4 lbs and require pins and sport would be around 8-10 and retain factory mounting brackets. What kind of parts would you guys like to see from a carbon company?

I'll take a hood, mirrors, evo II bumper, and gt2 wing. I'll be happy to prototype since I have taken the bumper off already (2 weeks ago to install an auxillary oil cooler).

Well... that does it you see. I manufacture my parts to the highest degree of quality. Falls one step short of an autoclaved preimpgregnated part structurallly but actually looks better. My E36 hood was 1400 bucks and by far the most expensive hood on the market. I didn't sell many. That was the problem. I thought the market could bare the costs but in the end people were just looking for prices not quality.

There are already CF hoods for $600. And I'll second the price thing. Cheaper (notice I didnt say cheap) sells more hoods.
