996 TT (tip) or a 997 (pdk)

997 (PDK) or a 996 Twin Turbo (tip)
Just curious on your thoughts on waiting to get a 997 (pdk) or a 996 twin turbo (tipronic).

The pricing is higher for the pdk cars, but I would have to wait for appriox. 6 months if I went 997 vs. a 01,02 or even a 04 996 TT cab (tip).

your thoughts

Having owned an M3 SMG and now a 996TT Tip, I'd go with the Tip. I know the PDK is better than the SMG, but honestly, if you prefer an automatic (I do, I know -- flames coming), then an auto is an auto.

If you are not looking for a high hp car, go with the PDK; otherwise, go with the Tip.

If you want to put some serious mods on your car then go with the tip. I have been told and have experienced the tip. From what i was told and correct me if im wrong but the tip will shift better and will take car to the fullest potential.

Have you driven the PDK? Have you driven the tip? I have driven both and the PDK is in a world all it's own. I hated the tip. Drive a PDK car before you decide.

The 997 will cost you almost twice what the 996TT will cost, but the turbo will be more powerful. The new 997 chassis is very, very good. You'll also have a warranty, direct fuel injection, and traction control, plus PASM if you want. I love my car[6 speed] but if I could transplant a PDK into it, I would.
