who buys an aston to race M3s, on the track or street? besides, the aston would look better losing than most cars would look winning.

an M3 looks good, but the aston is rolling art.

That's for sure
An M3 would rather follow and admire rather than dash away from it.

personally if I am spending $350k on a car I would hate getting my *** handed to me by cars under $60k.

i would be disappointed in an aston owner who was immature enough to be lured into a drag race myself. especially on the street.

buy a sport bike already and wheelie down the freeway.

somehow, i don't think aston is marketing to your demographic. lol

Its 240 grand, and I would not care at all... cheap, crappy american cars will almost always beat many italian and british 100 grand + cars... and sometimes, even on the track... but who cares, if all I wanted was pure speed in a straight line, I would have gotten a viper...

Not top end the Aston wouldnt loose, the m3 would get walked from about 80mph and on based purely on that hp number. Besides on the off chance you get to top speed in the Aston your doing 200mph in the m3 you are doing 155mph (and they stuggle to get there).

has anyone questioned weather or not these are factory numbers and are high, like those 4.5 second 911 turbos of a few years bach that were clocked as low as 3.9?

actually I had a nicely modded M3 and saw 170mph on a few occasions, and it wasnt struggling. I have a vid on my comp of a highly skilled drag racer doing a 12.64 1/4 mile in an M3 that is stock except for wheels and pullies (pullies add about 6 rwhp, yippe!). A 996TT runs a 12.6 stock, so does an E55 AMG, 2 cars that would blow the doors off an AM in a 1/4 mile. If we get into handling, the AM falls into the same catagory as the E55.

ok, too bad an M3 would give it a run for its money in any situation.
Not in women catching or show off status. I dont think an m series has turned my head since the M1's.

To me the Vanquish has always looked bad ***, the grill just looks mean.

personally if I am spending $350k on a car I would hate getting my *** handed to me by cars under $60k.
Never thought the Bently owner would worry about being out run by a Buick.

I drove next to one today (not an S) w/ brushed center HRE 840's. It truly is a beautiful car and the exhaust note sounds awesome. I have always been fond of that car.

Yep, Astons may very well be the most beautiful cars (inside and out) on the road.

Exactly! On that note, a Lotus Elise will lap an M3 on the track, but so what?
