Can't believe these two cars are even being compared! Totally different cars in every way. I currently have both. An M3 with full Dinan suspension and just under 400 hp and a AM Vanquish.
They are both a lot of fun in their respective situations.

if you have more money than God, and your AM is one of 15 sports cars that you own, then you are the man.
if you are only buying one sports car, for the purpose of having an ultimate driving machine, then I would not choose an AM personally.
btw, when the M5 and especially the M6 comes out, many heads will be turning.

The aston isn't even a sports car, it's a definate grand tourer. Something to be compared to the likes of the 575. But hell, why ever buy a 575 when a Z06 is clearly quicker in EVERY category.

I am new and have been looking for a nice sports car. I curently own an S2000.
My wife had a 04 CLK55 for less than a year. We got rid of it because it was a POS. Drove it for 5,800 miles with over 15% of that back and forth to the shop. Too bad realy. Great driving car with fairly good performance. This was our third merc and totaly unexceptable. My S2000 has better quality paint.
I had been considering the GT2 untill recently. Drove a GT3 and didn't like it. My modified S2000 holds better in the truns, and the noise level is about the same.
Drove a Vanquish and loved it. Forget the performance, the sound system is unreal. Thats with the radio off. Makes you feel special just sitting still.
Looked at Ferari, Lambo, and Auston Wed. with my wife and the Auston won.
Will probably order a DB9 this week.

Interestingly, a stock Turbo charges to 175mph frantically, then it's 176, 177, 178, 179, 180, 181, 182, 183, 184, 185, you get the idea.
Top speed requires generous dose of HP and aerodynamics.

cjv...no hate here, man. I've heard great things about the collection. Would love to see a few shots if you feel up for it.
BTW, Vanquish S is absolutely unbelieveable. I don't think there is a better front end on any other car.
This car is not about 0 to 60 capabilities or lap times.
