Hid headlight conversion

I have a 986 with a 996 Turbo front end conversion. I bought an HID kit for the Boxster because as I understood, they were all the same between a Carrera and Boxster. The headlights on my car are 03 Carrera Halogen lights. It seems the H7 bulb does not fit because, on a Boxster headlight there's a metal clip somewhat triangular shape that holds the bulb in and on mine it's a circular piece that hooks into the plug then to the light.

I'm stumped, will this just not work? Or can I buy the metal clips for Boxster headlights and put them on my Carrera lights? Plug and play...uh huh.

You mean Litronics? Because, the Litronics for my car would be the Turbo lights and they cost $4200 up next to the $100 I paid for the conversion kit.

I didn't really think I'd get any help with this, I'll just go to the dealer sometime this week and see if the wire clips can be bought separate. If not, I'll sell the hid kit.

Maybe you would have better luck in the 996 forum. Not many here probably know because we already have the HID factory lights. Sorry, just trying to help out.
