Garage pics : turbo swap, exhaust upgrade,...
Quickly wanted to post some pics of my current project.
Am swapping my K16s for K16/K24 hybrids and adding a Europipe + upgrading my intercoolers.
While I'm at it, I also replaced my spark plugs.
It's been a really rewarding experience to work on the car, albeit everything is taking a bit longer than expected. I spent about 10 hours working on it during the past weekend and had to abandon the project since I had to take a red eye to Sao Paulo on Sunday.
Just made it back to the US and I'm itching to put on the exhaust and take this puppy for a spin. Can't wait to hear how that Europipe is going to sound

Sounds like a fun project. We did my whole setup this way, in the garage and on jack stands. It's not to bad, but if I had to do it again I'd borrow my friends shop with a lift LOL!
Learning the car from the inside out will help you stop the dealer when they try to bamboozle you on the cost of something!

I agree and am glad there are others out there not afraid to tear into the car themselves. Before I found this site I thought I was in trouble as it seemed like everyone I knew with Porsches took their cars to the dealer.
Wow!! Way to jump into things!! I currently have my car up on jack stands working on the slave cylinder and I use the same safety stop as you do....an old spare tire/wheel in case the car falls off!!
You know it won't happen, but the one time you don't put the tire there is the time it will fall off and you'll be reaching for your cell phone trying to make a call for someone to get the damn car off of you (I've been thinking way to hard with all the time i've been spending under my car)!!!!!!!!

So has anyone successfully removed a 996tt engine using a cherrypicker and a gravity inverting reactor?
