Question What brand of gas do you burn?

I have been burning Mobil. But it seems that all the Mobil stations in my area are being rebranded. One became a Chevron and another a Shell. Just courious what others burn.

I primarily use Alliance 101, and occassionally 76 100 (when my local Alliance stations are not accessible).

I have seen Shell touting it's "new formula" gasolines in the Bay Area for improving mileage . Then in the fine print it alludes to comparisons with gasolines with minimum EPA detergency. Does that mean they just dumbed down their detergency additive package in return for an extra 1/4 mpg in order to capture price sensitive owners of giant gas guzzling SUVs ? Or is it related to removing MTBE ?
Our gas is $2-2.30 / gal in this area.
Is there an inverse relation between detergency and a fuel's energy content ?

i wonder if it's ok anymore to mix up 76 91octane with its 100 octane racing fuel...
b/c now 76 is advertising its NO MTBE on its gas, where as racing fuel still contain MTBE....i wonder if mixing them will do any harm...
any thoughts?

A long time ago I read an article that suggested that rotating brands every other fill up or so neutralized additive buildup because each mfr had a different formulation. Staying with one brand wold cause more buildup in motor than changing.....except for ethanol of course.

Sunoco 94 octane. Lucky to have station right next to work. Have been using the same gas for years with no problems.
