WRX STi

Winter's coming, and the H1 is starting to feel too slow.

I know a few guys on here have the wrx sti as a winter beater. How is it?

Can you post some pics? interior would be great.

Thanks!

I was gonna ask this question too, in the next 3 months I'll be looking for a new car, i'm debating between the sti, evo, and magnum R/T or a ford f250 diesel depending on the new design change comming.

I know buddy loves his STi, haven't Jack though. I'd also like to here how sharky is liking the evo.

fwiw....

i have driven both (standard and modifed) and the Evo to me seems like a much more focused car and for me the better car to drive. the STi is very good but suffers from low range turbo lag wheras the EVO just powers on. amazing fun to drive hard and fast but requires alot of attention from the driver.

these cars are in NZ so the specs probably differ from the ones u get in the states.

the interior wont be up to porsches standards but it does the job and is purposeful. the inteior of cars doesnt really have any bearing on me.

One of my rides is an 2004 STi. Lots of 1/4 mile speed. Like driving a go-cart. If you in a snow and ice area, change the stock tires in the winter. The stock tires have NO traction even with the 4wd. Check out my link.

if you want a really big and comfortable car, then go with the F250 crew cab. Crazy leg room in the back

I tend to like the STi better as a daily driver. The inside is nothing to compare against pcar quality tho. I was looking at them before deciding to try and find an 01 S4.

The STi is a nice car. I was in my buddies BMW 325 tonight (supercharged) and he actually had a runin with a new silver one.... We could only pull a tiny bit on it!!! Its a very nice car and my buddy has a lot of work in the BMW, so for it to keep up like that stock was great!!!

An alternative is to get the winter tires for your TT. We drive our TT through the winter. With the right tires on, nothing beats the experience. We were actually looking forward to snow so we can drive (or more like slide) it on the snow covered roads and parking lots.

The German paint doesn't seem to mind the ice, snow, and salt. I guess the weather there has more harsh elements.
