Right. Those were MANUAL cars and they were cutting 1.7-1.8 60' times. You will NEVER do that in a tip. I ran 11.59 on my K16 car, and that was with a 1.7792 60' time. That's a 4k clutch dump. Unless you powerbrake, you're not even going to get close to a 2.2 60'.

The 1/4 mile ET is MADE in the 60' time, nowhere else (besides shifting). Every 0.10 drop in 60' time is roughly equivalent to a 0.30 drop in 1/4 mile ET all else being equal.

Jimmer is speaking the truth here. I'm rear wheel drive with 24/18's. Lately I've been pulling off 2.2's dropping the hammer at 2000rpm. I can't quite hold it still with many more RPM's. I don't get immediate spin, but as soon as the turbos hit, I'm spinning all the way to 60. I don't see a k16 tip car going that low in 60'.

On the other hand, the Switzer 997 TIP will do 1.6 60' in AWD.

Having seen Tym drive DSMs way back in the day, I can tell you now that he's definitely NOT babying that thing off the line! LOL.

There's tons of advice up top. Without powerbraking and building boost off the line (normal aggressive driving techniques), you'll need 16/24 hybrids at least (more likely 18g's)

Pull fuse B9 in the box. Shuts down PSM/ABS completely.

if you have a tip, then all you need is a flash, exhaust, and turbos. you should be able to run 11's all day long on a tip.
