Gallardo clear engine cover
This is the first one i've seen. I thought it would look much better.

It is a factory option? Or can it be retrofitted?
I think it really looks like crap ... but if you powdercoat those camcovers orange or gold (like the introduction Murcie Roadster), along with chromed vertical v-stacks that bulge the glass (kinda like the old ferrari V12s) ... then it would look yummy!!!

With the very low thermal efficiency of glass it would translate to lower temperatures than the adiabatic process of air exchange between the vents. Or maybe I have no idea what I am talking about cause I am making that up.

On the ebay photo, it looks like it vents on the inside edges of the black inserts. Doesn't look like it could move as much air as the stock cover, though.
