Question to Sea side members.
The parking lot near the marina is an enlcosed parking structure, will the salt water/moisture in the air damage my Porsche (paint, under body rust, etc).
I would really like to keep it but, if it will get ruined being kept so close to salt water, I better not and get a beater (Modified WRS Sti would be ok, I guess).

Been living a block from the ocean for 3 years now. Hasn't effected me yet. The car is out in the open air all day long. You really shouldn't be worried about new cars and rust though as most of them are treated pretty well to prevent these things these days (those in the north and the snow take a much worse beating then you do). And if you take decent care of your paint you should be fine.

BTW, I have a friend who also lives in carmel, I am having a mental block and his name is evading me, but he has a black murci, and a E55 AMG (He should have an SLR by now, he ownz a big benz dealership and said he is first on the list)... he lives in stockton, and has a home in Carmel... his dad owns the San Diego football team... know him by any chance?
