Help me decide!!
Thanks a lot for your feedback and response/suggestion about choosing tiptronic vs. 6-speed...I won my personal battle with my wife and I am officially going for manual transmission!!
Obviously, some bucks are now set on the side to satisfy that so-called "hand bag" budget.
Anyway, at least here in Bay Area, I found the following 2 996TT that I am interested in.
Car #1: 02 996TT
Mileage: ~25k
Asking Price: $49k
Silver w/ Red interior
Mods: none, bone stock or at least it appears
Car #2: 02 996TT
Mileage: ~43k
Asking Price: $47k
Speed Yellow w/ Black interior (yellow trims)
Mods:
Body Kit: turbo nose, Side rockers, 911 style hood
K&N Air Filter
Dual Sport Pressed Exhaust
ECU Tuned
What do you guys think in terms of which one of these is the better choice? What about these asking prices
I also found another 06' 997 C4S conv't w/ full techart kit/rims for $57k...that's touching the max budget I want to go...but that is clearly a much newer car...well, not a TT.

Forget his buy one get one free crap. He updated his ad yesterday to "throw" that POS in there...it's not free if you are a craiglist ***** like I am recently. He was asking $47k on the 996tt before this update.

This is one of those small dealership, if you consider that is one. The guy is telling me he's been driving this everyday...sounds like one coming in through auction

I would go with #1 stock is always good. In this case it is also a blank canvas for you if you decide to mod you can select your ecu tune, exhaust, intake, etc plus the lower miles is always a plus.

Ha...apologize about keep switching the numbers...
Anyway, I'll be looking at the yellow one on Friday after work, and swing by El Cerrito on Saturday to check out the silver one...
Hey man, what do you mean about El Cerrito?
It's paradise there.

Neither. The craiglist speed yellow could be who knows what...guy can't spell, some unknown flash...odds are the DME is filled with over-revs.
The red interior is.... well...
Are you only considering local cars? If so, you will reduce the odds of buying the best car.
