221.3 mph First shakedown pass of the day. TX mile EVOMS GTXXXX
I spoke with Joe an hour ago. The car was not near full boost AND he granny shifted it. 221mph is only the beginning. It will surely go faster. Joe's biggest problem is that, at that speed, the track does not have enough room for him to stop saftely.
Conratulations to Joe and EVOMS for a tremendous accomplishment. It *appears* that this *may* be the fastest 996TT ever created. Bravo!!!

Incredible achievment!
For the newbs, to put it in context, that "shake down run" would have taken 4th fastest car at last year's mile.

I think your right - so this car maybe faster than the Proto cars?
Jag
Yes, VRAlex ran a 212 last year, Eddie Bello ran a 228 with his aircooled TT.
Craig
Marty's Proto car is the fastest that has competed at the mile. He ran a 190 mph (I beleive).
