Yet another EPL success story!! 565rwhp!!

I wanted to give Tony at EPL a HUGE thanks for helping me with the new flash that I got from him today. The car drives superb whether you're in or out of boost.
I had a chance to dyno the car today (in RWD mode), and at 1.0 bar the car made 515rwhp. Made a few more pulls, while adjusting the boost slowly, and ended the day making 565rwhp at around 1.2 bar while being somewhat heat soaked. I tried to make another pull with a little more boost, but for some reason, the boost controller was not cooperating with me for some reason, so I called it a day as we had another car to dyno as well.
All in all, I am VERY happy with Tonys tune and customer service. I've been modifying cars all my adult life, and Tony is truely one of the more talented, professional, knowledgable, customer oriented guys that I have ever been in contact with (and I've yet to even meet him in person!!).
Can't say thank you enough. Tomorrow I hope to get motivated enough to put my injectors in the car, and throw some race gas in it and crank up the boost to 1.4-1.5 bar.
My mods are: EPL tune, custom K24 turbos with Borg Warner compressor wheels (flow very close to k24/20g turbos), Maxspeed exhaust and headers, Greddy Profec-b, EPL divertors, and a 5-bar. I still have the stock airbox and stock filter even. Next is injectors, and then I'm sure the clutch will let go (which I'm shocked that it is still holding right now). I'm wondering if I should install some boost hoses or anything else when I put the clutch in???

Also, roughly, what should my car 60-130 with this power?? I ran it today after the dyno, and after driving it for almost an hour, and it only went a 7.5. I think this is a little slow for what the car dynoed, but maybe not . The boost was a little lower than what it was on the dyno, but not that much lower. I only had a chance to run it once, so I'm sure I can improve on the time, but I still think it should be a low 7 or even in the 6's with this power. Maybe I'm be a bit optimistic??

Thanks again for all the extra effort Tony, and I will let you know when I get the injectors in and we can crank the boost up some more with some race gas and see what these turbos will really do. If they don't hit atleast 650rwhp, then on go some GT30's

Tim

Congrats Tim!!! Welcome to the club! With a little practice, you should be DEEP in the 6's. With the 60-130, it ALL in the shifting. Good Luck!!!

Nice work Tim, I have not talked to you in awhile. Let me know if you get out on a weekend night as I would love to take a ride. I have been out the last couple saturdays in mine and was going out tonight but got lazy. Derek

Thank you on the congrats. I think the car should be in the 6's as well, however I don't see my 1 shift being slow enough to make that much of a difference in the time. I guess if its not raining tomorrow, I might go out and make another pull or two and powershift it this time to see if that helps at all. I know I can shift the car fine (not trying to "toot" my own horn here), thats why I don't understand the slow time. Honestly I could care less about the dyno #'s or the 60-130 #'s, I just want to see what it traps at the track now. I think my track opens next week, so hopefully I will get a number next week.

Beware Tim, shifting DOES matter, and I recommend NOT power shifting...these synchros are NOT power shifting friendly.

Thanks guys for all the compliments!!

ttboost-I know these trannys aren't the most robust, but I have already powershifted the car a few times anyways without issue. I certainly don't make it a habit though thats for sure!!

Derrick-I'll have the car out sometime soon, not sure when yet.

Steve-techinically it is still for sale, but I'm not exactly pushing the issue to sell it right now!! Congrats on your new purchase as well, I'm actually reading your thread right now on SF!!

Chris-Thanks man, I appreciate it!! A friend and I just got done installing the injectors about an hour ago!! Took us about 3 hrs, and it is a total PITA!!! Once these things are maxed I'm DONE. I do not want to do that again!!

Its still for sale, but I'm not pushing the issue now that my work has picked up . If someone offers close to my asking price, then I'm sure I would still sell it

Do what?? I was on stock injectors yesterday with 1.2 bar on pump, and today I installed the 58lb injectors (I'm sure the same ones that you have in your car). How will I be maxed now with bigger injectors?? Do you mean maxed on pump gas?? I plan to run more boost, but on race gas now with the bigger injectors.
BTW- what boost level were you at on your 6.62, and what gas??

Tim

Well, I say max'd...I guess what I meant was much higher DC than I am comfortable with. I don't recall if you had/have a 5bar. I do have 58lb injectors AND a 5bar and I'm good now.
