Anyone resurface the OEM dual mass with success?

I have picked up a used dual mass that has some scoring and grooves in it. Was wondering if anyone has succesfully resurfaced one with success?

Also, does anyone know the specifications for the step?

Hi Don,

I tried this once with not much success. I would not even bother to be honest.

I tried it, and it turned out terribly. I turned the FW when I first installed my Stage 3 clutch, and when the clutch engaged, the car would shake violently. It basically made the car undriveable. I took the car back to IA and Stephen put in a new DM flywheel, which 100% solved the problem.

I've been told that many times. I've heard it has something to do with the dampening (rubber?) that gets ruined by the heat from machining it. It could come apart if used?

j.mitchell70 is infamous around these parts
Can the stock one be reused in a stage 3 setup or is a new flywheel mandatory?

I have one in the car now. I want to go back to the dual mass. By the sounds of it I might just keep it though.
