Question to those with V1 clipped in the headliner
Question to those with V1 clipped in the headliner
To Pourscha, KPV, etc ...
Did you guys use the visor mount that comes with the V1 and just stick it up between the roof and headliner? Did you have to modify it (cut it shorter, etc.) or are you using a custom bracket?
No matter how I move it around, etc. it's either super loose once I press the headliner back into place, or I can't press the headliner back into place at all (because I assume the bracket is blocking something).
I'll keep fiddling with it, I was just curious if you guys had any tips. I can't find the old thread I was looking at - does anyone have a really close up pic from the right side that shows how much of the visor mount is sticking out, etc? I guess I just haven't found the sweet spot yet ...

I used the sun visor metal clip. The clip was very loose, so we compressed it with a vice (do it a little at a time). Then I put about 1" of foam between the clip and the headliner, which made it more stable, and also pointed the part facing the back of the car down a bit, so it has a clear view out the rear window. The unit is almost touching the sun visor.
