Well I've got a car lined up, just need to get it inspected and sign the papers! As soon as I close the deal I'll post some pics. Thanks very much to all of you who have assisted with your suggestions and input, the additioanl information I gathered from this forum has been a HUGE help! My search also ended up being a bit shorter than I expected it to be, no complaints about that though!

That's great news! How long do you predict before you make the first mod?

By the way, what will happen to your M3?

Hey Charlie,

Predictions on the mod-o-meter, not long. I'm sure I'll find something small to customize myself. Big dollar mods, I'll probably hold out until I've had the car for a while, at least the summer. For me modding brings new life and excitement into the car, I don't think I'll need that for some time: ) On top of that, the car already has a nice mod list going along with the X50 pack, Lots to play with right out of the gate.

The M3 will be put up for sale unfortunately: ( I wish my 3 car garage could house 3 cars. The dang builder put garage stairs down into the bays, shortening one of them making it useless for anything but storage! I would rather keep the M3 and sell the RR, but it doesnt make sense to have 2 "fun" cars and no practical one, at least for me.

Add to your to do list

I would also insist on a Carfax report. I bought a 930 Cabriolet that was in Boston and communicated with the Porsche Owners Club and they gave me the name of a Porsche specialist in the area and he did the PPI and called me with the results. I bought the car without actually kicking the tires, so to speak, and it has been great. Good luck. I also have an 01 996TT and it is great, you will love it assuming it passes all the PPI and Carfax stuff.
