What is drone?
If you want to get an idea of it, go in the shower and start singing (if you are a guy). At certain frequencies you'll hear it resonate off the walls and get louder. That is basically what drone is.
Damn, i just admitted to singing in the shower...

Drone in the 996 TT...Good luck eliminating it !
has this annoying noise (usually between 2300-2800 rpm, give or take).
Since I am a maniacal exhuast maniac, that began when my stock exhuast
was damaged on my car in shipment to me, I can tell you all systems have
it. I had PSI Loud, Quiet, EP S2 Quiet, DGI industries, and now the Switzer with Cat delete. Switzer was at least honest about it saying that
to get the flow levels I desired (which his system easily accomplishes), you are going to have to "tolerate some drone". Honest words well spoken. Stef at Europipe (the owner), told me the best way to eliminate drone was his EP Stage 1 quiet (which does not have the highest level of Perf capabilities). Other than that, the stock system, I noticed even has some on my buddies Turbo S Cab with a Sissy Tippy. The tip obviously drives more in that drone RPM. When I am out driving by myself I am only in the RPM for an instant
, but when cruising with my wife, I remember that my car drones. It is what it is...
I have a feeling that you tried staying in the drone zone intentionally.
Nope, the europipe quiet has none and the europipe loud is not noticeable and that one flows better than most high perf exhausts.
Agreed. EP Loud was what I switched to.
