Thumbs up Thumbs up to Protomotive and Autotalent for my new PE700

Folks,

I just want to express my appreciation to these fine vendors for all their help to get my car exactly where I want it. My project began 5 months ago. I had zero knowledge about tuning Porsches exept that I knew they could be made alot faster.

For weeks I brainstormed with Todd at Protomotive for ideas on how to make my car both fast and reliable. He was patient and took the time to bring complex concepts down to earth for me and made me feel comfortable with my modding decisons. I went out and bought a set of like-new GT-28s & V-Flow airbox w/ HitMaf from a fellow 6Speeder (Edelectra), and an RPI exhaust from Dan @ Redline. After a weekend of wrenching the hardware with a buddy of mine, we were off to the races!

Todd was proactive about requesting my datalogs and got the tune set for driveability and power. He never quit until we got it perfect.

Fast forward a month. I wanted more power. Todd explained that I needed more fuel and better airflow to maximize my setup, a better clutch to manage the powerm, and a good shop to do the work.

A box arrived from Proto soon thereafter with 60lbs injectors, intake piping, Tial H2O turbo cooling piping, and a clutch kit w/ lightened flywheel.

I brought the car to Autotalent and couldn't be happier with what Sam and Zolti did with the car. Let me tell you if you live in SoCal you gotta pay these guys a visit. When I got there I saw them working on a custom twin turbo Lambo, a F430 Scud, and a few other exotics in to get more power added and for service. I was blown away. These guys are the real deal folks. They bring a wealth of knowledge about almost every European sports car you can think of and are happy to share info.
While my car was on the lift I decided on KW V3 coilovers as well as a Brembo BBK: 15in front and back, painted Lambo Yellow per Sam's recomendation. Got a great deal on all this thru Sam.

Zolti checked and double checked his work to ensure perfection. I was there for much of the build and his focus is remarkable. He really "knows" my car. I am thrilled with their work and will gladly drive an hour to the shop any day.

to follow are GT-2 deck and wing, 997 short shift kit, Brockway 1000 meter, and final tuning from Todd.

Thanks again to these Vendors for their integrity and dedication to excellent customer service!

Best wishes for continued success in business and life!

Jay

Can you explain more on what Todd sent you with regards to Intake piping and turbo cooling piping? Are you going with his air intake kit that relocates the filters near the IC's? If you have pictures that would be even better!

Pics, please. Oh, nevermind...I've seen it in person many times over the last few weeks, LOL. I can't wait for a ride and to see how the 700 kit feels. Unfortunately I'm now seriously considering the next round of upgrades. 24/18's may be on the list!

I'm in town this weekend if you want to go for a cruise. My car won't be ready most likely but there's always a chance that Ole and the crew at Scandinavian Coach Craft will finish earlier than expected and I'll have my new GT2 front end complete!

Alan, given that he is running the Hitachi MAF rather than Todds custom Ford MAF system (which takes up a ton of space and removes the ability to use the original air intake), and he appears to have the V Flow, I dont believe that there will be a need for him to relocate his intakes to above the intercoolers.

Once my car comes out of the workshop will take pics of the PE700 with Ford MAF and relocated air intakes.
