Disclosure of costs/mods to the wife!
#16
Same as Ari....she has her thing...I have mine. The UPS boxes arrive and I get a comment...."I see you got some new toy for your car huh?:"...and that's the end of the conversation.

Well I can comment from the supporting wife that I used to have (used to being the key phrase here), she knew the whole cost of all mods...and I think that brute honesty really did damage, although on the bright side, my car is 119 lbs lighter

I guess I'm a number 2; not fully open about it but have a hard time not being honest I've been married 15 years, it works pretty well.
Usually roll any big expenses into a "necessary" big expense (worn tires ect) - hey Porsches are expensive. I always point out how much I save when I do a DIY
Now I still pay for gymnastics, cleaner, vacation 3-4 times a year (not there for a couple!) ect I think these are "obligations" (ballz lost along the way? maybe these are put away at home and saved for work?)
I'm generally allowed the big toys and don't try to rub it in with the mods. She doesn't get the car thing, all our friends are into boats.

Well it all started at #1 until I joined this forum. ***** have been checked for sure and I'm in the 2-3 zone area. Wait, is this a multiple choice quizz? How come it does not have the choice, all of the above?

It is you wife tel her the truth anything less is just asking for trouble.
Helps having a car that she likes to dive is useful. \Mine likes the SRT-10 and she does drive it so she defiantly knows when it has been upgraded, IE no way to hide it.

gee never gave it a thought untill now when for the 1st time in years things are tight...two years ago it was nothing to spend a few gzels (grand) on the car now i would not think about it. hell i'm skeeming on a new front spioler right now and am thinking i'll wait till biss get back to real time... still only buy race gas (when i drive it i wanna go fast)

I don't think wives disclose everything to the husbands. For example, "everything" my wife owns was supposedly bought "on sale" or she had an item in the closet for years and just decided to start wearing it. BS but who cares.
