Disclosure of costs/mods to the wife!
Thought this would be good post/poll (not sure how to do a poll) for friday. Just so I dont hopefully feel all alone..how many are going to "man-up" and let us know if you tell wife/significant other of cost of maintance/mods if it applies to you? Even a step further, how many of you stash funds as well to be discrete
1) I tell her all costs and dont care
2) I tell her some costs and get hassled
3) I dont tell her costs and she doesnt know
4) I dont tell her costs and have seperate "piggy bank"
Im #4. ill throw in pix of my wife for your eyes so even if you dont like the poll/thread maybe you like the pix

My car is the only thing that is for me. I get my toy. Not in a rude way, and not at the expense of my family, but I know when I can afford it.

She gained 30 pounds from having my son, so 1.
She is slowly losing the weight so I may have to go option 3 although I am done modding.
I told her if she loses 15 more pounds she should dump me for a guy w/ a Ferrari.

Atkins does wonders for after preagnancy weight gain, especially since preagnancy makes you gain more muscle.

Are you ^&&*ing kidding me, number 3 for me. i guess i left the ***** at home. i just exaggerate & tell the wifey it was only a $100 bucks or it was a safety issue. seems to work most times.
I don't tell her what I spend on the cars and she doesn't tell me what she spends on shoes and bags...kinda works...as long as the bills get paid. Although I think she kinda suspects the car got "modded" for around $1800
We were journaling and keeping her carbs at 100 per day/ fat at 30 grams a day. I think she eats what she wants at work and then writes down what she thinks will make me happy. However, she has joined cross fit and does that and cardio/ regular weights 6 days a week. She has lost about half the weight and is continuing to work out and make slow progress . The way I deal w/ that is I eat anything I want and stay about 10 pounds overweight myself

Going to 20g of Carbs a day makes you shed 10 lbs in a week(Water fat mostly but still 10lbs). Fat if in moderation helps contol cravings and flattens out insulin spikes. My sister gained about 80lbs during her first pregnancy and once I put her on atkins wit a moderate excersize program in 4 months she was in better shape at 28 than at 18.
I only tell my wife about mods she can see or hear. She doesn't bother asking about the price of the mods she knows about because I suspect she would rather not know. Anyway, she has come to accept my uncontrollable propensity to mod every single car we own. I just wish it didn't cost so much to mod the Porsche!
